Edita Kadiric
June 4th, 2026
oneATELIER Paris is pleased to announce our Next Deep Studio Visit with multidisciplinary artist Edita Kadiric on Thursday, June 4th, 2026 in her studio in the 10th arrondissement of Paris.
Working across drawing, animation, objects, and installation, Edita explores psychological landscapes shaped by the growing dislocations and emotional fragmentation of contemporary life. Her practice reflects on the tensions between hyperconnectivity and loneliness, examining how expanding individual freedoms can also produce forms of detachment, instability, and loss of shared presence.
Through delicate lines, hand-drawn gestures, and immersive spatial narratives, her work traces the fragile contours of the self within increasingly virtual and delocalized realities. Each mark becomes both a wound and a bridge — a way of reclaiming intimacy, tactility, and slowness amidst the accelerated rhythms of postmodern life.
At the core of her practice lies a sustained attention to care, empathy, and human interdependence. Her works invite viewers to pause, reconnect with embodied experience, and reconsider what forms of presence might still be possible today. Balancing critique with hope, Kadiric’s practice proposes art as a space for resistance against fragmentation and as a means of recovering fragile yet enduring forms of humanity.
During this visit, discussions will focus particularly on the evolving presentation formats of her multimedia practice and the question of how drawing, animation, objects, and installation can coexist within coherent and accessible exhibition environments, which she sees as a long term challenge over all to her practice and for audiences of the future.
Born in Yugoslavia in 1976, Edita Kadiric graduated in Fine Arts with a specialization in Etching from the Art Academy of Novi Sad in 1997. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Drawing from the University of Arts in Belgrade, followed by a Master’s degree in Artistic Production and Intermedia Research from the University of Barcelona, where she began experimenting with hand-drawn animation. That same year she became a scholarship holder of the PRODART Fabra and Coats factory of creation, Barcelona/Spain. At the same time from 2000 to 2016 she was exclusively represented by Prom Gallery (Germany/Portugal), and from 2016 to 2020 she was under the artistic support of Carmen Würth Collection (Germany). She has realized numerous solo and group exhibitions in eight countries in Europe (France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Montenegro, Portugal, Serbia and Spain) and currently she lives and works between France, Spain and Serbia.
