Sarah Knill-Jones
Drawing Practice Circle
About Sarah:
Raised in Scotland Sarah Knill-Jones (b. 1969) lives and works in Paris. A strong and consistent dedication to the practice of life drawing, and drawing as a performative act, underpins her work where key concerns are the human form and our capacity for the monstrous. Frequent geographical relocations have contributed to the fluidity and disorientation which feeds into her practice, at turns a nourishing or destructive.
She studied at the Glasgow School of Art and obtained her MFA from the University of the Arts London. Her practice incorporates drawing, painting, video, performance and collaborative experiments. Recent exhibitions include Poush, Paris, National Galleries of Scotland, UK, Studio 1.1 London. Her work is held in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, The University of Northampton, UK, The Museum of Modern Art Baku, Azerbaijan.
