About Clare:
Clare Patrick (b.1995) is a curator, lecturer and writer working with sound and installation. Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, she is interested in transnational collaboration and spatial intervention as a methodology for decolonial work. Clare was a 2023-24 Curatorial Fellow at NXTHVN, USA, and previously Exhibitions Manager and Curator at Norval Foundation in Cape Town. Her research has benefitted from numerous awards and fellowships, most recently the 2026 FLUXUS Curatorial Grant, British Art Network’s 2025-26 Bursary with Tate and Paul Mellon Centre, and in 2025, the AWARE Marie-Solanges Apollon research award. She serves as Art Director for No! Wahala Magazine and works as Art Editor for SAAG Anthology. Her work has been featured in Art Throb, The British Journal of Photography, Art Africa, Contemporary And, Vogue Magazine, The New York Times and The Art Newspaper.
